The Price of Conflict: Why the $200B Iran Request is a Step Too Far.

The headlines this month have been dominated by Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and his massive $200 billion request to fund the ongoing war in Iran. But there is a fundamental problem here: The American people did not ask for this, and we certainly didn't vote for it.

For years, we’ve heard about the need for fiscal responsibility, yet when it comes to military expansion, the budget seems bottomless. Hegseth has labeled the funding "necessary for lethality," but at what cost to our schools, our roads, and our future? We are looking at a $39 trillion national debt, and adding another $200 billion for an illegal war is not the answer.

We need to hold our leadership accountable. It's time to stop the "blank check" mentality and start focusing on the needs of the people right here at home.
