The post-WrestleMania season is usually full of surprises, but this year the "surprises" are coming in the form of pink slips. In what is being called one of the most ruthless roster purges in years, WWE has officially released over 20 superstars, effectively ending major storylines and dissolving entire factions overnight.
The End of the Wyatt Sicks
The biggest shocker of the day was the total dissolution of the Wyatt Sicks. Despite their heavy involvement in the supernatural side of the roster since 2024, the company has pulled the plug on the entire stable. The following members have been released:
Bo Dallas (Uncle Howdy)
Nikki Cross (Abby the Witch)
Dexter Lumis (Mercy the Buzzard)
Joe Gacy (Huskus the Pig Boy)
Erick Rowan (Ramblin' Rabbit)
It’s a slap in the face to fans who were invested in the legacy of Windham Rotunda. One minute they are Tag Team Champions, the next they are out of a job. Unbelievable!
Main Roster Heavy Hitters Cut
It wasn't just the spooky guys getting the boot. Several household names and former champions were included in this April 2026 wave:
Aleister Black & Zelina Vega: The power couple is officially out. Fans are already speculating a return to the independent circuit or a jump to the competition.
Kairi Sane: The "Pirate Princess" is sailing away from WWE once again.
Motor City Machine Guns: Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin’s run has come to an abrupt end.
Santos Escobar: The leader of Legado Del Fantasma is gone.
Other Notable Names: Apollo Crews, Zoey Stark, and Alba Fyre.
NXT and Developmental Purge
The "Spring Cleaning" reached all the way down to Chase U, with Andre Chase himself being released along with several rising stars:
